First meeting “Green EcoFriendly House Project”

Our first meeting for this project took place in Luxembourg from Monday, 12 November to Friday, 16 November 2018.

We stayed here for a week in which we carried out diverse activities and workshops that we found really interesting, educative and enjoyable.

DAY 1:

Each national group introduced themselves by showing a short presentation about their country educational system and their school.

The Luxembourg students showed to the rest of the guest students their school dividing the hole group in several small teams.

DAY 2:

We built up a board with a temperature sensor following the teacher’s instructions.

In mixed groups we researched information and made a short presentation about different ways to obtain energy from water.

After lunch, we travelled to Vianden where we visited SEO (an hydro power station) and the city.

DAY 3:

We programmed the previous built board with “Arduino”.

In the afternoon, we went to the capital city and we visited the museum d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean and later we did a guided tour from 15:00 to 19:00.

DAY 4:

We heard a talk by a professional designer named “Water Hackers” where we learnt  how to build a water filter with simple and recycled materials and we made a prototype by ourselves. Then, we showed our water filter projects to the other students.

In the evening, we visited SEBES (an important water plant in Luxembourg)

DAY 5:

The last day, we organized tasks for the next months until Almería meeting in May.
